In my case it offered to install Avast Free Antivirus. This is clearly mentioned on the DTL website. *Be advised that the installer of the latest version may offer an option to install some other free tool (adware).

Click the uninstall option and reboot (optional). It did not have an uninstall entry in Control Panel > Programs in my case, but there was one in Start menu > All Programs > Daemon Tools Lite. If you decide to run the latest version of Daemon Tools Lite (recommended), I suggest you uninstall the old version first. Disabling the kernel debugger is not necessary at all. A reboot is required, so make sure you reboot before trying to run DTL, which should now run without that error. It should detect that the driver is not installed and offer to install it. Make sure you select the version that's meant for Windows 7 圆4 (version 1.90), then run it. You can download the standalone installation package for SPTD from here DuplexSecure - Downloads. Somehow, the driver is no longer available on your system, or its corrupt and therefore not functioning as expected.

Anyway, the SPTD driver is required for some funtionalities of DTL, and in your version of DTL, its installation is not optional as shown in the image below. Is there any particular reason as to why you're using an 8-year-old version of Daemon Tools Lite? DTL is now at 10.7.1, you may wanna consider upgrading.
